Monday 25th: "Gender Specific Prom Attire" close read, Salem Witch Trials video, Discuss Puritan Notes

Tuesday 26th: Review notes, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God," choose parts for Act I


Wednesday 27th: Start Act I and study guide

Thursday 28th: Continue Act I
Homework: Complete close read notes and summary for Friday

Friday 29th: Close read DUE! Active reading day: bring books

Wednesday 21st: Type rough draft in Lab C

Thursday 22nd: Notes on the Puritans

Week of August 14-16: First Week of School!

Welcome to English 11!  I am Ms. Engle, your English teacher for the fall semester.

2.  Here is the course syllabus (click to access)
3.  Your first assignment will be to gather supplies by Friday August 16th.  This is outlined in the syllabus, but all you need by then is a 3-ring binder, 5 dividers with tabs, notebook paper, and pens and pencils.  I have some leftover binders in the classroom already that you can recycle and use for your own if you like.

Here's the schedule for the week: 

Wednesday 14th: "Who am I" activity, receive syllabus.
Homework: Read syllabus, start gathering supplies

Thursday 15th: Syllabus "quiz," teacher introduction, rules and procedures, receive book project assignment and active reading guide
Homework: gather supplies for class (DUE Friday)

Friday 16th: *supplies due* Book talk in library, check out book, organize binders
Homework: none
